Update...

As some of you may know, I had a little scare with my "huge" feet/ankles and blood pressure last week. Of course I went to my OB and he said to take it easy and stay away from salt as much as I could. I changed my work schedule to every-other-day and have been eating better....but when I went to see the specialist this morning, I learned that my blood pressure is still high and Mackenzie is a little big for her age. She is the size of a baby that is about a week or two older than her. It's not a huge surprise because of my diabetes that she is big...but things have been going so well, it was a little bit of a let down. I need to be able to work for at least 8 more weeks to be eligible for FMLA, so please pray for me and Mackenzie :-) As far as my blood pressure, the doctor said I will have to see him once a week from here on out so he can keep a close eye on it. It's not high enough to cause problems at this time, but I need to pray that it stays that way. He said there is really nothing I can do at this point, so I will continue to keep my blood sugars where they need to be to help keep her size down, and of course rest on my days off instead of shopping, cleaning, laundry, etc. Mike is being wonderful of course...keeping up with the house and shopping. I am very fortunate to have such a loving, wonderful husband.

Sorry to hear all this, but GLAD to know YOU can control some of it. Back to basics, eat tons of veggies and not eating out. You know how to eat well, just tell Mike he is going to have to stick by you for this one (knowing the meat and potato man he is) I'm glad they will work with you to change you schedule at wk. I will keep you all in my prayers. Look forward to seeing you in Nov.
Love to everyone...
